Responsible Sourcing

We source our silver and gold from suppliers certified under the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) framework. Our precious metals are either recycled or mined under strict environmental and social standards. We audit our supply chain annually and publish results in our transparency report.

PACKAGING

Zero Plastic Promise

Every Balad order arrives in packaging that is 100% plastic-free. Our boxes are made from FSC-certified recycled board. Inner pouches are organic cotton. Tissue paper is recycled and printed with vegetable-based inks. Even our tape is paper-based. We shipped over 10,000 orders last year without a single piece of plastic.

GIVING BACK

1% for the Planet

Balad is a proud member of 1% for the Planet. This means we donate 1% of all annual revenue — not profit, revenue — to environmental non-profits. In 2023, this contributed to ocean cleanup, reforestation in the Nordics, and coral reef restoration in Southeast Asia.
